Filmed about 2 months ago but forgot to upload. For some unknown reason there is a high voltage between the two earths on the two sockets in my room. Let's ask what would happen if I touched the TV's line out and the tape recorder's line in at the same time? I would get shocked because they are not on the same earth. I have been shocked recently many times when connecting up my equipment. So rather than having it all connected up to the same socket with power strips and adapters and possibly overloading the socket, it's better to do it this way. So now, the two sockets earths are connected together, making a central earth point. The grounds on all my equipment are connected to the new earth point, and the negative connections on my power supplies are connected to the earth point and now I get no more shocks. Doing this often creates a "ground loop" and causes hum in audio connections. I know how to fix that too, but fortunately no "ground loop" problem happened.
